Code 201: Foundations of Software Development aims to provide students with a solid foundation in modern web development skills. You will learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various frameworks and libraries to build fully functional web applications. Additionally, the course covers common software development tools and environments, such as Git workflow processes, project organization, wireframing, pair programming, team collaboration, and introductory Agile development methods.

Furthermore, this course will prepare you for advanced web development courses such as Code 301. You will learn to work collaboratively and harmoniously in professional environments using industry-standard tools and workflows. Code 201 focuses on providing a well-rounded education that combines technical skills with best practices and collaborative techniques. Upon completing this course, you will be able to create web pages using semantic HTML5, apply CSS and HTML for layout and styling, use JavaScript to create interactive projects, write efficient and error-free JavaScript code, and utilize industry-standard version control tools such as Git and GitHub.
